Call of Duty’s Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 season 2 stand as the largest updates to both games since their release late last year.
Warzone 2.0 is back and better than ever with the debut of a new map. It all takes place on Ashika Island. Resurgence mode has also returned, giving players an exciting 1-v-1 Gulag experience like no other.
With Modern Warfare 2.0, players will be thrilled to try out four new maps. It also comes with modes such as Ranked Mode, Infected, Hardcore, and Gun Game.
Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 Season 2 Launch-Time
The global launch of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 season 2 takes place today — on February 15th, 2023, Here’s when it will be available in your time zone:
- 9 a.m PST for the west coast of North America
- 12 p.m. EST for the east coast of North America
- 6 p.m. CET for western Europe / Paris
- 5 p.m. GMT for the U.K.
- 2 a.m. JST on Feb. 16 for Tokyo
If the past seasons are anything to go by, we can expect Season 2’s update to be available 24 hours before the scheduled times. It will give you plenty of time to get it downloaded.

Additions in Warzone 2.0 Season 2
- Warzone 2.0 map Ashika Island is available as part of the new Resurgence mode
- During the mid-season, Ashika Island is adding a new Search and Seizure contract as well as Redeploy Drones (a contemporary twist on Caldera’s famous Redeploy Balloons). The Data Heist public event will be available to players.
- Players can brave the dangers of Ashika Island in DMZ mode. They will find a reward awaiting them if they manage to defeat the Bombmaker.
Additions in Modern Warfare 2
- Modern Warfare 2 will feature Ranked Play and offer “CDL-approved rules, restrictions, maps, and modes.”
- Four new maps have been introduced: Dome and Valderas Museum (Core Maps), Zaya Observatory, and Al-Malik International (Battle Maps).
- Several modes come back to Multiplayer in Modern Warfare 2 at launch, such as Infected, Gun Game, Grind, Hardcore, and Drop Zone. Mid-season adds All or Nothing, One in the Chamber, and Drop Zone.
