Mario vs. Donkey Kong is one of the most popular and iconic games. The game features Mario, who attempts to defeat Donkey Kong while completing levels and challenges. Many versions of the game have been released since then, and another is going to be released on the Nintendo Switch soon.
Nintendo has revealed the trailer for the game that is going to be released on February 16. It shows new worlds that were not in the original games. The new worlds are the merry mini-land, the one set in an amusement park, and the slippery summit with an ice-covered mountain area. Players will also get new styles, such as classic, with the original theme, and casual, with less puzzle-solving experience. These details were not revealed in the first trailer and that seemed like a prettier version of the original game, but the new trailer shows that this remake is different from the original version.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong was initially released in 1981 under the name Donkey Kong. Contrary to its name, the game focused on Mario saving Pauline from the popular ape character. Mario would start from the bottom and reach the top of each level to win against Donkey Kong. At the same time, Donkey Kong creates obstacles for Mario, and he has to avoid them.
Needless to say, this game will only be available on the Nintendo Switch, as it is a Nintendo title. PS5 and Xbox will not support this game. According to some people, Nintendo Switch 2 will be released in 2024, and it is not clear which version will support this game. The original SD card of the Nintendo Switch doesn’t have a larger space, and the game is a 2 GB download, so you might need to upgrade the SD card for a smoother experience.
